Mold Inspections & Testing
Mold spores are present in outdoor and indoor air. Fungi colonize on building components such as drywall, carpeting, furniture, floor joists, roof sheathing or even dust. Moisture control is the primary strategy to limit and prevent mold growth because once moisture intrusion takes place, fungi can germinate, grow, and sporulate in as little as 24 hours.
Aside from the bad odors and alarming aesthetics, most people are afraid of the potential negative health effects from exposure to mold. However, the main reason you should be concerned about the effects of fungal growth is because it degrades the structural integrity of your building!
A limited mold Inspection is a fast and affordable way to confirm the existence and type of mold present. The purpose of a non-invasive, visual examination is to report moisture intrusion, water damage, apparent mold growth, musty odors, and conditions conducive to mold growth.
ProCheck Inspection Services has been providing mold inspection services in Fort Collins, Loveland, Windsor, Timnath, Severance and Wellington, Colorado for over 15 years. A mold inspection is performed by an IAC2-certified mold inspector and takes about a half hour. The cost is $395 which includes FEDEX delivery for timely real estate transactions. You will receive the following with our mold testing service:
Mold inspection
Mold air quality sample testing
Mold surface sampling testing
Independent laboratory analysis of samples
Mold report analysis
Once the inspector attempts to identify the source of mold, swab and air samples are taken. These are then shipped to a third party laboratory.
ProCheck works with a new artificial intelligence powered mold lab. The report has clear graphics to show if a sample had none, slight, or major mold elevation. Surface samples show if mold growth is present or not. The data is presented in categories: Water Related mold types that grow on water damaged building materials, Indoor/Outdoor mold types, predominantly Outdoor mold types and Particulates. See sample report above.
